In Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, gamers take on the role of Talion, a valiant ranger whose family is slain in front of him the night Sauron and his army return to Mordor, moments before his own life is taken. Resurrected by a Spirit of vengeance and empowered with Wraith abilities, Talion ventures into Mordor and vows to destroy those who have wronged him. Through the course of his personal vendetta, Talion uncovers the truth of the Spirit that compels him, learns the origins of the Rings of Power, and ultimately confronts his true nemesis.
Every enemy that players face is a unique individual, differentiated by their personality, strengths, and weaknesses. Through the Nemesis System, enemy relationships and characteristics are shaped by player actions and decisions to create personal archenemies that remember and adapt to the player and are distinct to every gameplay session. Gamers are able to craft their own battles, enemies, and rewards within the dynamic world, which remembers and adapts to their choices, delivering a unique experience to every player.

Reviewed by joshsoriePersonalities of Mordor -This game is the first of two titles. Shadow of War is the sequel. Another title worth getting I assure you. But that said let's get down to the nitty-gritty details. As you progress through the game, you will find various collectibles, secret door codes, powerups, etc. As it is an RPG you will gain levels and unlock new skills as Torian grows stronger you find yourself having an easier time overall. All that I just described is not what makes this game awesome. The special part about this game is its enemy NPCs and the system that dictates how they act. It is called the nemesis system a system that tracks your interactions with ogres you interact with, an orge kills you, and that ogre becomes a captain; you run into that captain orge to get revenge they remember killing you and start smack-talking you to their followers, you kill that captain and some others. Don't worry others will take their place the next day. Each ogre captain has a personality type. They have things that make them enraged and afraid during combat. Make them angry they get stronger, terrify them to make them flee or become an easy target. Let them escape if you want, but be careful they might find you to get revenge or even wait until you are dealing with other captains to ambush you as a thank-you for the last time you met with each other. I loved this game, it is well worth your time.The Pros- Nemesis System - Orge leveling, personalities, interactions,ect.
The Cons- The game at the beginning has a somewhat slow pacing but it quickly picks up the pace.

I bought both this and Shadow of War for less than you can pay for a fast food meal. It was definitely worth it. The game builds a wonderful atmosphere where you are an Orc's worse nightmare.The Pros

Reviewed by LightoferuStunningIt starts of with heavy emotional damage but rewards you with all the revenge you get to take throughout the Orc ranks. Amazing story, a bit sifferent though from Kanon, not making it a bad experience whatsoever. Would 100% recommend it.
