The top 3 reasons to play Crusader Kings III Royal Edition
Choose a royal or noble house from a number of realms on a map that stretches from Iceland to India, from the Arctic Circle to Central Africa.
Guide a dynasty through the centuries, ensuring the security and power of each new generation. Gather new lands and titles to cement your legacy.
Be a pious king to bring the religious powers to your side, or strike out on your own, designing your own splinter religion and earning everlasting fame or eternal damnation.
About Crusader Kings III Royal Edition
Adopt one of five different lifestyles, perfecting your skills in military strategy or kingdom management. Acquire character traits that will guide your actions, but beware if you act against your nature! The stress from denying your truest self could bring a new host of troubles! Choose appropriate guardians for your heirs, or train them yourself. But what do you do if the legal heir is not quite up to the job? Violent characters may develop a fearsome reputation, cowering your timid subjects into obedience with the dread you inspire.
Recruit man-at-arms units and powerful knights to supplement your royal levies. Research new technologies to increase the wealth and military might of your realm. Hire mercenaries and Holy Orders for your major wars. Supplement your income with ransomed prisoners or raiding parties on neighboring realms.
Use your spymaster to discover plots against your dynasty and your rule. Recruit agents to assist your schemes to undermine or murder anyone who stands between you and power. Seduce other characters for love or political power. Gather information for blackmailing purposes or call in favors whenever your plans need an extra bit of influence.
Clear improvement over CK2 but still has a long way to go
CK2 was one of the best games I have played (despite it being renowned as being a spreadsheet simulator), providing me with endless hours of fun. CK3 combines improvements in newer Paradox titles with CK2s format to produce something that is even better. Despite having much more content at launch though, CK3 does require upcoming DLC to match the same level of entertainment as CK2 currently has.

Best Game of 2020 (Probably)
This game is hard to recommend to new players due to the learning curve however if you have even a slight interest in playing it then just sit down with it for a couple hours because trust me fucking around in this game has organically created some of the best player stories ive experienced. Paradox games can be a bit pricey with all the (sometimes necessary) dlc but I mean you're on cdkeys for a reason. Also you have mods and its pretty much the only modern game with meaningful achievements.
Multiplayer can be annoying

Good but obviously going to get plenty of paid for DLC
Crusader Kings 3 is definitely a worthy successor to Crusader Kings 2. Although lacking in content compared to Crusader Kings 2 with all DLC it will likely be added to with multiple paid for DLCs as time goes on to flesh out the game - just frustrating that some things that shoudl be there from the start will likely be added later for extra cash.... but cdkey prices help with that!

Great Sequel to a great Grand Strategy game
Crusader Kings 3 is definitely a worthy successor to Crusader Kings 2. Although lacking in content compared to Crusader Kings 2 with all DLC it has a wealth of content for any vanilla Paradox grand strategy game. With all its interesting systems it can only go up with the addition of new free and paid content.
Characters look great and add lots of depth
Lacking ability to play as some government types as of now

I got this game after playing over 100hours on a friends copy, It is unbelievably fun and there are so many different play styles you can try, especially creating your own ruler and creating a massive warmonger or a diplomatic peace maker, if you pay attention the dynasty mechanics it is interesting to see how each successor either builds upon or can completely destroy all the work the previous generation put in. It is really fun
Story Crafting Replay ability
A lot of trial and error to learn mechanics

Good game and great addition to the series. Cleaner and more intuitive interface than CK2. Very much enjoying playing it and look forward to seeing what else paradox adds to the game going forward. :)
