In Aliens: Dark Descent, command a squad of hardened Colonial Marines to stop a terrifying Xenomorph outbreak on Planet Lethe. Lead your soldiers in real-time combat against iconic Xenomorphs, rogue operatives from the insatiable Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and a host of horrifying creatures new to the Alien franchise.

Infiltrate large open levels and annihilate enemies with your squad, dispatching orders strategically and intuitively at the touch of a button. Tread carefully, as your foes will adapt their tactics to your actions while hunting you down because death is permanent. Forge unique paths for survival, uncovering shortcuts, creating safe zones, and setting up motion trackers in a persistent world where your actions impact levels forever.

Customize your squad with a selection of different classes. Level up and specialize your soldiers with unique abilities and an arsenal of weapons, armor, and perks, for high stakes missions in treacherous territory. Develop your base to research new tech and improve your squad even further.

Captures the feel of the Alien universe
Since having kids I've very little free time and when I do find I have free time, sleep feels like the better option. When I pick up a game, unless it grabs me I generally end up dropping them after a couple hours- everything is a super critical evaluation of where I bother sinking my time, but this has so far kept me on the hook for 15 hours.. probably the most amount of time I've sunk into any game since Half-Life Alyx! The world is really well fleshed out, the combat is fun (occasionally very challenging!) and the story is entertaining and feels believable in the universe in which its set.
The Pros
- Loads of fun- really immersive.
The Cons
- Some bugs on release meant I had to start some missions that got "stuck" but ironed out now!

Awesome Aliens Experience
A great real-time strategy game and one of the most immersive Colonial Marine experiences there has been. A mix of Diablo ish gameplay and X-Com base management. Challenging even on the lowest difficulty due to punishing Marine stress management, oh and the multitudes of murderous Aliens. There will be moments you weld your Marines in a room, just to take a breather.
The Pros
- Satisfying, atmospheric & tense gameplay.
- Plenty of memberberries from Aliens covered.
The Cons
- Customisable Marines but a bit restrictive.
- Occasional bugs especially with the Tecker Drone.
