I thought that the story mode for GTA V was great but the online wasnt, unfortunately the story hasnt been worked on at all for years so theres nothing new there as all the focus is in the online

Honestly this game was definitely worth buying because you can play with friends not only that you can play online and in story mode, so you have many options that you can just never get bored of. I'm glad I bought this game.
